Morgan Minnesota Grain Bin Relocation.

In June of 2024, Thein Moving Company was tasked with relocating two grain bins for the Harvest Land Cooperative in Morgan, MN. The grain bins were 90’ and 78’ in diameter. They each stood at 115’ in height. Weighing in at over 6 million pounds each, these grain bins proved to be complicated to relocate. Thein Engineering assisted in the relocation of these bins by providing insight on designing a steel beam layout, determining steel beam deflections, wind loading, center of gravity, and relocation processes.
